Script/Short conversation

Script for a short conversation

INT. DOCTOR’S SURGERY DAY

MARTIN enters the Doctor’s surgery, files and worksheets
neatly stacked on his desk matched with an expression of
sympathy from the doctor’s empathetic face.

DOCTOR

Hello Martin, please take a seat.

Martin walks sceptically towards his seat, eyes fixed on the
worksheets piled neatly on his table.

DOCTOR

I’m afraid its bad news, you have
developed cancer in both your
prostate and lungs, I am so
sorry...

The doctors statement left Martin in shock and stun and his
only reply was an eary silence trying to take in this
nightmare.

DOCTOR

MARTIN i know this is a lot to take
in but...

MARTIN interrupts the DOCTOR.

MARTIN

How long?

DOCTOR

There is still a slight possibility

that you can overcome this.

MARTIN

How long?!

DOCTOR

The worst possible scenario, you

have 6 months. But like i said

there’s still a possibility you can

overcome this. New medicines are

being developed everyday...

By now MARTIN isn’t listening. The only thing on MARTIN’s
mind are the sorrow yet graceful church bells ringing to

what could be his funeral in 6 months time.
